A couples boudoir session is time to slow down, be close, and create portraits together. Whether you’re marking an anniversary, celebrating a new chapter, or simply want photographs that feel personal, we’ll plan the session around your connection and shared comfort level.

Start with a conversation

Tell me what brings you here and what you want your portraits to feel like. We’ll discuss styling, coverage, the setting, and questions from both partners before session day. You don’t need matching outfits or a particular relationship milestone to begin planning.

Both partners should want to participate. We’ll talk about boundaries together, and you can speak up, pause, or change direction throughout the shoot.

You don’t need to know how to pose

I’ll guide positioning, expressions, and the small details that make a photograph feel connected. You can focus on each other while I help you settle into each pose. We can discuss a gentle, romantic feel or a more dramatic style without asking either partner to perform a role that feels uncomfortable.

What to bring

Choose pieces that fit comfortably and feel like you. Simple clothing, lingerie, a favorite shirt, or something with personal meaning can be a starting point. Bring your ideas to the consultation so we can talk through how your choices work together.

You don’t have to decide on every detail before you inquire. Ask about wardrobe guidance, hair and makeup arrangements for your session, and what to bring for each partner.

A private setting, confirmed in advance

Sessions take place by appointment in arranged private professional spaces around the Phoenix metro. There is no permanent walk-in Shalista Boudoir studio. We’ll confirm the actual location before your session; living in a particular city doesn’t guarantee a session in that city.

Your photographs and your privacy

Your images can stay private. Photographs are shared only with a written, signed model release. Discuss any privacy or communication preferences during planning so both partners understand the arrangements.

At your private ordering appointment, you’ll choose the images and products you want to purchase. Explore albums and wall art for ways to keep and enjoy your portraits. If you have an anniversary or gift deadline, tell me before booking so we can confirm scheduling and production timing.

Couples boudoir questions

Do we need to be nude?

No. We’ll discuss clothing and coverage beforehand and work within the comfort level of both partners.

What if one of us is nervous?

Bring those questions to the consultation. We can talk through the experience together, including posing, privacy, and boundaries, before you decide to book.

Where do we find pricing?

Review the current experience and pricing, then ask me to confirm the inclusions and arrangements for your couples session. Images and products are purchased separately from the session fee.

Can we keep the photographs just for ourselves?

Yes. Your photographs can remain private. Sharing is optional and requires a written, signed model release.
